Because of the global chip shortage caused by the epidemic and the manufacturers cut back on product production plans, we will not be able to continue to source the Xilinx Spartan 6 LX9 FPGA chips used in the EZ-FLASH Definitive Edition for the foreseeable future.

We had to purchase the Spartan 6 LX16 FPGA chip to continue the product, which added a new revision to the product line.

The one on the left is the original version with LX9 chip, with OMEGA DE printed on the PCB, which we call Rev.A, and the one on the right is the new version with LX16 chip, with EZODE printed on the PCB, which we call Rev.B.

There is no difference between the two revisions in terms of product features.

They use the same kernel, but different firmware, We did our best to embed the kernel file with the firmware corresponding to each of the two revisions, so that users only need to download one kernel file to automatically identify the hardware for firmware upgrade.
